With an overall approval rate of 89%, the E2 visa has one of the highest approval rates for all U.S. visas. E2 visa investors are required to show how they will start (or buy) a U.S. business, hire Americans, and grow a profitable enterprise in five years.

The requirements provided by the U.S. government are quite clear, but there is some room for interpretation by the U.S. consulate office. In the case of E2 visa denial, the consulate officer is required to indicate what E2 visa requirement was not met. 10. E2 Visa Minimum Investment Depends On 2 Factors

Do you want to own a business in the United States? If so, you may be interested in the E2 visa. This visa allows foreign nationals to own and operate a business in the United States. To qualify for this visa, you must make a minimum investment in your business. The amount of this investment depends on two factors: your time commitment and your risk appetite. Let’s take a closer look at each of these factors in this video.

First, your time commitment. This is the amount of time you must commit to actively managing and developing your E2 business in the United States. Generally, you must be full-time involved in the day-to-day operations of your business for at least one year before you are eligible for an E2 visa. The more time you can spend running your business in the US, the more likely you are to be eligible for this visa.

Next is your risk appetite. This refers to how much money you are willing to put into your business. There’s a minimum investment required for an E2 visa. However, if you have a higher risk appetite and can make a larger investment, you may be eligible for an even higher-level visa that requires a higher capital investment.
